Process Server Florida

Service of Process is the delivery of court documents to an individual to whom the legal document is directed. This includes summonses, complaints, subpoenas, writs and other legal documents. They must be Served by an individual who is not a party to the case and in accordance with the State of Florida legislation. Some States require that all documents be Served by a Licensed Process Server who will either hand the documents to the defendant personally or sub-serve them to a person in the same household or business. Once delivered, the serving agent must provide proof of service with a notarized Affidavit of Service or Proof of Service.

If your State does not require a licensed Process Server, having an experienced Server, will ensure efficiency, they can file your papers with the courts, investigate skip-tracing, perform surveillance and locate individuals. Equally, a Service of Process which is not performed according to the letter of the law, may have a negative affect on your case or result in a dismissal.
