There are many summer camps in Ontario, but none that equal a Tall Ship Voyage Aboard the STV Fair Jeanne which sails on Lake Ontario and the Thousand Islands and is designed for teens 15-19.
Set sail aboard the 110' brigantine Fair Jeanne for any of the exciting voyages. Our young trainees discover the adventure and thrill of working as a team to meet the challenge of sailing an authentic tall ship. Throughout each voyage regular instruction and shipboard routine will be maintained. You may find yourself hoisting the sails, steering the ship, standing anchor watches and helping cook meals too! Perhaps you’ll climb high up into the rigging to furl the sails or out onto the bowsprit to free a sail–something new all the time. Trainees live and eat aboard the ship while sailing to various ports and anchorages in Canada and the U.S. Most importantly, trainees share this great adventure with a crew of new friends!
Fair Jeanne has a full-time crew of 6, and trainees number between 18 and 24. Most of the voyages on Fair Jeanne operate out of Kingston, Ontario and involve passage through part of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Thousand Islands area. Mettez les voiles à bord de la Jeanne 110 'brigantin Salon de l'un des voyages passionnants. Nos jeunes stagiaires de découvrir l'aventure et l'excitation de travailler en équipe pour relever le défi de la voile d'un navire faisant foi de hauteur. Tout au long de chaque instruction voyage régulier et systématique de bord sera maintenue. Vous pouvez trouver de levage vous les voiles, barrer le bateau, debout ancrage montres et préparer les repas aider aussi! Peut-être vous grimperez haut dans le gréement pour enrouler la voile ou à l'extérieur sur le bout-dehors pour libérer un voile quelque chose de nouveau tout le temps. Les stagiaires vivent et mangent à bord du navire alors qu'il naviguait vers différents ports et mouillages au Canada et aux États-Unis surtout, les stagiaires partagent cette grande aventure avec un équipage de nouveaux amis!
Salon Jeanne a un équipage à temps plein de 6, et le nombre des stagiaires entre 18 et 24. La plupart des voyages sur le fair-Jeanne opèrent à partir de Kingston, en Ontario et impliquent le passage à travers une partie de la Voie maritime du Saint-Laurent et des Mille-Îles.
